Kermit’s Got A New Voice

It ain’t easy being green.  And Matt Vogel is about to find out how true that is.  He has just become official voice of Kermit the Frog, the most famous muppet of all time.  Here he is, making his debut, on the Muppets YouTube channel.

Check it out below.

Vogel has worked with Henson and the Muppets since 1996, beginning as an assistant puppeteer on Seseme Street.  He takes over from Steve Whitmire, who had played the part since Jim Henson passed away in 1990. Whitmire had dismissed by Disney last fall.   Henson created and performed the role since he created the famed green amphibian for a local TV children’s program in 1955.
